Sir Syed Library
The institute Central Library is known as Sir Syed Library which serves as the perennial source of knowledge for the students as well as faculty members. Our Library is well equipped and well managed. Our library provides the reading materials in accordance with the curriculum of various disciplines to help students to grasp knowledge for examination purposes besides their general mental development.Books:
A very rich collection of books are maintained with a total collection of 16424 books .The collection is growing day by day on various current and emerging technologies related to various streams. Two books are issued to a student for 15 days. Ten books can be issued by Faculty members.Reading Room:
Our Library has a spacious reading room with all the necessary facilities along with a stand by generator. The Reference books and magazines are available in the Reading Room. The purpose of reference section is to provide reading materials which may be issued in circulation section.
Library Services:
Library is providing Book Loan, Reference service, Reprographic Service and Digital Library service to the Faculty members and students.
Digital Library:
Our library has subscribed DELNET, which provides access to Union Catalogues and other Database to Member-Libraries. Full Text Electronic Journals and E-Books can be accessed by students and staffs of our college. The Digital Library is Air-Conditioned and provides separate Browsing Section for browsing the e – Journals, CDs, DVDs etc for the Faculty members and students in supporting their Project Work, Research Work and for fulfillment of academic requirements.
Library Automation:
Our library services are fully automated . Library Management System was implemented in 2008.It was developed by our Institute. Books have been bar-coded and scanners are used for issuing books at Circulation Counter. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) system is provided to the users for easy and quick search of their required material. SMART Library Cards are used for transaction of books. CCTV camera is installed to check Library activities.
