Since its inception in 1994, the department of Electronics & Communication Engg. has been imparting quality education towards Diploma in the discipline of Electronics & Communication Engineering. The department initially started with an intake of 30 students which gradually increased to 90 students. The department has well qualified and highly motivated faculty and well-equipped laboratories to cater the student’s needs. The department strives at its best in imparting the required technical and practical knowledge to the students. Efforts are made to groom the students not only to be successful Electronics & Communication engineers but also become a top-notch professional to serve the society and nation at large. The faculties and students undertake quality project work and publish research papers and faculties development programs at various prestigious conferences. The students of this department have excelled in their job assignments in different organizations over the years. This fact is substantiated by the excellent placement records and the fact that large numbers of prestigious companies are visiting the Department for placements.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • PEO1: To promote strong educational foundation and produce industry ready engineers.
  • PEO2: To acquire technical skills and resources to design, analyze and create innovative solutions for engineering problems in multidisciplinary work environment.
  • PEO3: To inculcate leadership qualities, ethical attitude and competence to excel individually and work with teams.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)

  • PSO1: Should be able to understand the concepts of Electronics & Communication Engineering and their applications in the field of semiconductor technology, consumer electronics, embedded system, communication/networking and other relevant areas.
  • PSO2: Should have an ability to apply technical knowledge and analyze, comprehend, design and develop electronic subsystems/systems with modern tools related to Electronics & Communication Engineering.
  • PSO3: Should have the capability to handle variety of engineering applications and demonstrating professionals ethics for societal well-being.

LAB DESCRIPTION: –

Electronics & Communication Engg. department having 100% lab facility as described by J.U.T. The department has several well-equipped laboratories such as Advance Instrumentation Lab, Digital Lab, Communication Lab & Analog Electronics Lab & Electronics workshop where students are given practical sessions as well as hardware assembly and testing practices. This serves to help the students in gaining practical exposure to these developing technologies. Seminars are presented by the students which give them opportunity to develop their communication skills.

The Department holds a special place in the prestigious list of institutions offering this course by good track record in terms of placement. Alumni from this Department occupy prestigious positions in many leading firms like ISRO, DRDO, Indian Railways, All India Radio, BSNL, Bihar Electricity Board, Tata Steel, Tata Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Tata Lieberts, NHPC, Infosys, Reliance Communications, Reliance Jio, Usha Martin, HCL Services Ltd., Metalsa India, JSPL, Overall Network Solution, Kutumbh care, JIO, Rapidtech IT Solution (Ranchi) etc.

Electronics & Comm. Engg. department also offers non-formal courses like Instrument Technician, Industrial Safety Management & Environment, Total Quality Control & Quality Management for the students of local community and economically weaker sections.
